I just logged into HBO and there’s this movie called Contagion. Will report back if it’s any good or not.

Well I’m less than 3 min in, so far two people who appear sick have been touching a bunch of stuff and zooming in on what they touched...community snacks at a bar, cashier touch screen after taking a CC, hand rails in a subway.... :sdeek:

Finally got around to watching Inception last night.  Pretty good, although parts of my brain may have melted trying to figure it all out.  I may watch it again today just to see what I missed the first time.

Million Dollar Baby is on tv and I just wanted to take a moment to express my thought that is one of the worst movies of all time.

off-brand take for the blogs premier #1 women's sports connoisseur

is it just the ending that turns you off? or the who show? clint eastwood?
if it had just a normal rocky ending, where would it rate?

I browsed all the movies that would be suitable for a family with young teens on Hulu, Amazon, Netflix, and Disney Plus for about 45 minutes and decided to rewatch Thor Ragnarok. And I don't regret it!

Watched Snowpiercer last night. Not bad. Think I fell asleep during the last 20ish minutes though.

End of Watch.  Pretty good!  At this point, if Jake Gylenhaal is in something, there's a pretty DAMN good chance I'll like it.

The entire premise was dogshit and that equally dogshit ending is what that steaming pile of dogshit deserved.

It first and foremost was an utterly unbelievable boxing movie, which is okay because a lot of boxing movies are bad. However, this didn't have anything redeeming to make up for the bad boxing and ridiculously improbable story. It wasn't entertaining and didn't try to be, it wasn't funny and didn't try to be. It tried to be an artsy boxing movie, and it failed, bigly. The way she got paralyzed was gratuitous, no way that could have happened, her getting hit by a falling piece of space junk was more probable. Then this woman, this supposedly driven athlete, with 2/3 of her life ahead of her, has no will to fight or live at all, then this dude just shuts off her ventilator then she instantly just falls asleep, it's preposterous.

This sack of crap beat Ray and Sideways for best picture in 2005, what a rough ridin' debacle.

Women's sports movies as a genre are pathetic, the only great one is A League of their Own. Bring it On and Love and Basketball are also good, if those two even count. Hopefully the 2020's is a good decade for women's sports movies.

Hadn't even heard of it, intriguing cast, roller derby isn't a sport tho.

Amazing movie, not a women's sports movie

Joker was decent, but I thought the part where he went on the talk show was a little much.  Overall I mostly thought it was good.
