Reply in a thread about how most people are still "scared" of covid and the OP has been unsuccessful in organizing events.

Has a lot to do with where you live. We never had a mask mandate here in Missouri and life around here has been pretty normal. We go to Church in Osage Beach which is on the eastern extent of Lake of the Ozarks and both services were packed with no social distancing and no masks. Bars and restaurants were packed this past weekend with tourists. That said, I had to make the trek to Springfield, about two hours away, and it was like I walked into a different world. Everyone had masks on there. Caught a few dirty looks for not wearing one but thankfully Missouri is an open carry state and people tend to leave you alone when you exercise that right.

Big bad mr tuff guy right here.

The Georgia voting law is less restrictive than some of the laws already on the books in many dimtard controlled states. The only reason I can imagine these cowardly corporations bowing under the boot of despotism and selling out our country is money. I think they are being threatened behind the scenes by the leftist scum who cheated their way to power last November. Selling out our country at the threat of losing targeted tax breaks and carve outs is apparently worth it to these modern Judases.

Put another small government/free marketer in the camp of “why do we just let these corporations do what the market demands?”

Blaming the powerful Dems in the GA state legislature for secretly threatening tax breaks while the actually in power Pubs are doing so publicly is a bold stance.

Spoke to a corporate executive re political activism by big business

Fightin TX Aggie2:41p
I talked today with a high ranking executive of a major company. I won't identify the company, to keep my friend anonymous, but he is with one of the following: Coca-Cola, United Airlines, McDonalds or Walgreens.

I asked my friend specifically what is going on with these big businesses who want to alienate one half of their customer base. His answer was that his company knows what it is doing and doesn't care.

The CEO told him, referring to Republicans/conservatives who care about such things, "Those aren't our customers." He said they could produce marketing studies etc. which show that they're better off towing the line of the dominant left wing culture.

My friend doesn't believe the studies, and he has told the board that everyone's money is green, no matter their political party. To no avail.

He also said that some left wing activists are suing some of the board members, and that probably adds to the fear factor (my interpretation).

So, there you have it. The big corporations are far more scared of angering the left than they are of losing your business. These are decisions made with open eyes.

That’s an actual moral from past 2 years.  They are economically impotent.

Also lol about board members being sued by left wing activists holy crap how dumb is that huge idiot?

The replies were mostly a circle jerk of how conservatives are too rich to buy anything from those companies or people letting everyone know that they have never bought anything from those companies and never will.

Subway at palm plaza on 105 requested I mask up.

No problem.

I don't have one so I pull my shirt up. She says that doesn't count.

No problem.

Can I get a mask from y'all?

We don't provide masks.

Ok.

Walk out.

I wonder if the owner knows how much money a $9 an hour employee is costing him over a few pennies a mask cost.

That the fox guy is a legitimate white supremacist. I'm actually shocked he hasn't been banned with the racist crap he says.

Totally unsurprising, but apparently this guy was a cop for 15 years

I agree that we should overturn the citizens united ruling!
