The Economy is changing though steel is important it isnt going to save us by tariffing it. Things that would benefit the US would be by pushing Chinese influence out of the Western Hemisphere. Much like the European Union if we could effectively create a giant trading block it would benefit the US for generations. Things won't be perfect but a Marshall plan for Latin America would essentially remove any threat of Chinese influence. It's not going to be a popular idea for several on this board but by creating a Soft Power and Economic Juggernaut Superpower even China would retreat back to Asia and influence India. Which due to our allies in the Pacific we could essentially box them in their own borders.
Oh you mean like TPP that the dipshit blew up?

Are tariffs permanent?

Are the ever used to change behavior?

I’m excited for this new and completely nonsensical talking point that took 2 days and is the best that could be created.

How permanent is “a long time” because those were dumb shits exact words.  I’m very eager to see how this decision was related to Obama or Hillary.

the market handed him his ass and it lasted like 8 months which seems likely to repeat itself here

 :driving:

Every morning on time you could see him arrive
He stood 6 foot 3 and weighed 235
Kinda broad at the shoulder and fast with the lip
And everybody knew you didn’t give no crap to BIG DON

Big Don Big Don Big bad Don

Through the dust and the smoke of this Democrat hell
Walked a giant of a man that the patriots knew well
Grabbed a sagging economy and let out with a groan
And like a mighty oak tree he just stood there alone Big Don

I’m talking about our man Donald Trump
He’s the President now and all you chumps
Can just settle down and stay in your safe space
We’re about to make America a better place with Big Don

Big Don Big Don Big bad Don

Well old Don got to work cause we got problems to be solved
Then the democrats shouted
The Russians are involved
Brought their special counsel with Robert Mueller
Too bad the wall just got 10 feet taller with Big Don

Well they will lie and cheat and steal and threaten
And pander to illegals before our veterans
But we’re over these liberals leading our country in a hearse
It’s about time to put America first with Big Don

Big Don Big Don Big bad Don

We’re gonna put these criminals where they belong
We got people like Hannity and Julian Assange
And all the centipedes following Q anon
And Americans like me singing my song for Big Don

The path ain’t easy cause the Devil is working hard
But we got God on our side and he’s playing his Trump card
Just remember my countrymen to always stick together
Fake news can’t stop us from making this world better with Big Don

Big Don Big Don Big bad Don

When it’s all said and done America will be great
and we’ll build a statue to commemorate
A great man with these words on a slate
Thanks to the people’s power a man came from his tower
To save America in its final hour Big Don

Big Don Big Don Big Bad Don

it’s not like I’m tired of WINNING, but dude, let me catch my breath.

Bush may seem like Einstein when you put him next to Trump, but there are reasons people thought he was a bit of a dipshit back when he was president.

Trump certainly could end up being a worse president, but I don't think anyone can really claim Trump has presided over anything as disastrous as Iraq.
