Frank has shown that he is more than willing to run someone off of his team if he needs to make room for a better recruit.

lol, I almost replied like you were serious here.  would have been funny.

I don't get why everyone is so down about losing the '11 scholarship. Omari has no guarantees that it will go to him, and even if it does, Frank has shown that he is more than willing to run someone off of his team if he needs to make room for a better recruit.

As long as Omari "works hard" and is "a good fit," he'll get the scholarship, just like Energy did. Frank's loyal.

Indeed.  There is no way he would ever run anybody off.

I can't tell who's serious, joking, or Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) from this.

i don't dislike lawrence.  i like him at least as much as the 6 or 7 3s kstate already has (except mcgruder, like him more).  lawrence is just the last one in, so he gets the most ????s.  but i'd trade southwell for lawrence, no hesitation.

as mentioned, i also hate that the 2011 recruiting is down to 1 ship before the july eval period even started.

Won't that be doubled when we kick Irving off?

I love being the new "Transfer U".*

*As long as these guys keep working out.  I suppose even if just one of Aprilla/Lawrence is any good that still puts Frank at 75% success rate with transfers.

Frank will open up one, probably two more schollies next season, IMO.  Hopefully Martavious and the Canadian dude are already planning to transfer.

Seagers for those two would be amazing.  Hope he's ready to play out the gate.

Can somebody catch me up?  I must be confused.  Is this right?:

Some big-city New York kid named Omari (who was offered by Arizona, Clemson, UConn, Louisville, Marquette, Memphis, Pitt, and Xavier) played one year at St. John's and then decided that he now wants to come to Manhattan, KS.  And he is going to pay his own way?

Is Jim Wooldridge rolling over in his grave?

Is this the "player to be named later" that we get for Curtis Redding?  Is Maybank involved?

Don't think Frank loves Nick, though.  Nick or Tave or the Canadian.  One or more won't be here this time next season.

So can some one tell me if I'm supposed to be excited about Omari?

Maybe he'll be like Kelly and come good 2/3rds through the Big 12..er...10 season

my bet is that one or two transfer out after this season after a disappointing amount of playing time this year.

Kansas State didn't have to choose between Nino Williams and Omari Lawrence after all.

Williams claimed K-State's final scholarship, but Lawrence will transfer to K-State anyway.

"I'm going to redshirt this year and be a walk-on," said Lawrence, who averaged 2.5 points in one season at St. John's.

Lawrence, a 6-foot-4 swingman, will have three seasons of eligibility remaining after sitting out next season due to NCAA transfer rules.

will prob try to get that to 10 or 11 3's eventually.  maybe a quick guard and a big center to round it out.

seems a bit of a risky strategy. it'll be nice to go 10-deep at the "3" spot though. If only a "3" could play some other short of position at times like a "2" or a "4"(LOL). We should at least go get a "5", we seem a little thin at the "5" spot. The college game today is all about the traditional back to the basket 7-footer, IMO. A "4" seems dumb when you can have a "5".

5 is bigger than 4.  Let me ask you this....would you rather have $5 or $4?  I rest my case.
