St. John's Omari Lawrence transferring to K-State?

Even still, the sophomore says he already has an idea of what his role on the team will be should he, as expected, find himself in a purple jersey.

Basically, Frank has to finish the process of yanking a scholarship before he can formally give one out.  Has to be.  Otherwise the invite for walking on would be done and the kid would have his ticket booked.

Or Frank is stringing Omari along in case Myles doesn't get here.

Everything I've seen has said Myles has graduated and will be on campus this weekend.

You know why this is frustrating? If Frank knew that he was going to be yanking someone's scholarship, then he should have done it sooner so it could have gone to Rosario or Babb instead of this kid.  I'm sure that he's alright, but it feels like we're settling and simply saying he's a good "fit" for the program.

Dom was highly recruited.  Pretty sure it was basically down to us and Wake Forest.  Dude is a tremendous athlete, his offensive game just hasn't really been impressive.  Every offseason I keep hoping the light will come on and he'll really start attacking the rim but (aside from a few flashes) he looks uncomfortable or unsure of himself out there.

Dax has also been working the "Te is overpaid and doesn't recruit for crap" talking point pretty hard this offseason.  I blame this all on BMW.  With no natural enemies around, Dax is forced to turn his wrath towards his own.

K-State has a couple of wealthy alums in Conn.  who own investment firms (this is true, one if not both are on the Foundation President's Club), one of them knew the Lawrence family from when he was baby, so the alum is considered a friend of the family and will be paying Omari's way his first year at K-State.

That's how they're getting around the whole scholarship issue.
