I take that back because Salina people take some pride in the city.

crap down here seems like people stopped giving a crap about everything when Jim Crow fell out of fashion.

Also had a great bar convo with an ole miss fan who started talking crap about auburn during malzahn.

Before he could finish saying “auburn was dumb as cra….”

A woman sitting nearby snapped HEY and this kid immediately put his hands up as if to say sorry.

Yes, we often refer to that part of the drive as the Kansas part of Mississippi and Alabama.

Kind of like we call Montgomery the Topeka of Alabama.

That's interesting. We don't compare anything here to Alabama because we know our worst still isn't that bad. We refuse to be your rolling rivals, Tide.

I need to read the history of the south. Because everyone’s ancestries here must be Scottish or Irish

So much red hair. I get the crimson now

Very strange.  I've been there during peak vacation season(s) (like now) and pretty much everyone there was from places like . . . Kansas.

I'll have the chance to give a license report when I go visit a military customer down that way later in the week.  My suspicion is it will have a decided rust/corn/wheat belt feel.

I rode an elevator with a couple that I assume were from Louisiana. Couldn’t understand a word they said

Memorial weekend coming up, I suspect the Interstate is going to look like a wheat/corn/rust belt convention.   Better buy up as much Natty Light as you can find if you're sticking around waiting for Joan and Virgil from Dubuque to show up.

Was wondering that myself. Chewed my wife out already. If it’s good enough for the south then we need to be a step up.

Just a shame you went cheap on accommodations.

There's always Cabela's off I-70, or Great Wolf Lodge near the outlet stores for next year.
