Iowa State, not known for their restraint, will only be at 10% capacity.
Where are our HVACats to give analysis? The arena seems like it could be fine but concourses, no. Even at 10%.
IMO it’s bad even in the arena. Consistent air patterns are problematic, regardless of the size of the space. Especially now that the CDC confirmed what we figured about aerosols.
I think pretty much all indoor gathering is reckless at this point though, so I’m more conservative than most.
Even masked and distanced? I'm asking, legitimately don't know.
I’m not a doctor.
Masked would be good. Unmasked, with aerosol spread, and consistent air patterns, it is possible distance wouldn’t help as much as one might hope. Undoubtedly, distance is better than no distance.
The scenario I envision is infected person A has the air and entrained aerosols they exhale blowing from him 20 feet over towards person B for the two hours of a basketball game
I don’t know. I also don’t have a lot of faith in mask wearing given the games I’ve watched the last couple of weeks.
