Pretty good so far. I know you guys wouldn’t believe this with my erratic behavior on the board & social media at times, but overall, I’m super laid back IRL and I think lil wacky got that from me. He’s been super chill so far. Not sure if it’s just the calm before the storm or what. I actually got a solid 7 hours of sleep in the last 24 hours.

Maybe 4. You know a mom starting out, they want all hands on deck right away. She finally let me takeover at 1:30 and 4 AM last night when he was crying. He hasn’t made a peep today. Just at night so far.

I just need someone to talk me away from constantly checking my work email. I’m terrified of losing Doctors while I’m out. Work keeps telling me to shut it down however. I just feel guilty if I miss out on potential bonuses for us while I’m out.

Don't let people guilt you out of doing some work. I checked email from the hospital with all three of my kids, this spring I even did a couple of interviews.  My God, the kid doesn't require 24/7 exclusive attention.

So we did our follow up visit with our pediatric doctor today and all was well, until the doctor put him on his back to lay there and walked away for two seconds, and his muscley ass rolled over onto his stomach. The Doctor freaked out. She said he’s not supposed to be able to do that yet. He’s only 5 days old and apparently babies aren’t supposed to do that for months.

Happy to hear it’s rare. The Doc freaked out a bit and she’s been doing this for awhile. Said: “Yeah, I’m super sorry, I’ve seriously never seen that before. My apologies. Get a ball in his hand soon, Dad.”

Got the sick 5 year old in bed and asleep. After 15 minutes of her sleeping I sat down and let out a sigh of relief that she was going to get some sleep. I made the major sin of letting myself relax because 3 seconds later I hear her start violently puking in her bed.

We have a 4 month old now, and he is hitting the "4 month sleep regression" hard.  Used to only wake up once a night, and now it is every hour for about a week.  Woof! Hoping it doesn't last too much longer.
