I think we're just keeping it her and I at the hospital for awhile.

With the 2nd one we were in the hospital 5 days in a hospital with a nursery. On the 4th day they came in and told us sorry we were going to have to stay another day, thinking we’d be mad. We just said “hell yes” and went back to sleep.

If it’s a hospital where they will take it to a nursery, send them every second you can. Your/her instinct might be to spend time with the baby since it was just born. That’s wrong. Send it away and sleep.

We did the exact opposite with all three of our kids. We kept them in the room with us and slept when they slept, lots and lots of skin to skin contact with me and my wife. That skin to skin is really important if mom will be nursing. Newborns do nothing but sleeping. With our latest the hospital begged us to let Julian go to the nursery, the only time we sent him was during a dinner. This hospital sets up one fancy dinner for mom and dad, complete with steak or salmon, alcohol, and desserts, we sent Julian for that.

Send the relatives away once they've had initial pictures. Hospital time is resting time. They can see the baby when you get home.

man working from home is going to suck dick shaft and balls and bag
Yeah, i'm going to have to figure something out soon. I have my parents and uncles house I can use around here, but I need a monitor in my life.

So while the baby is young, it will be astoundingly easy, lots of sleeping. What I'm discovering now, we didn't do this with our first two, is that starting around roughly 3 months or so, it gets harder as the child's needs become more complicated. I'm starting the season when I have a lot of teleconferences and I can't wait until Julian starts babbling into my phone and computer.

I think if mom has an opinion about where the baby goes after delivery, you should probably just go with that.

We had ours in the room every second and it was fine. MIR makes a good point that they just sleep all the time at first. Like, for weeks. It's pretty easy, really.

 This sounds perfect! Mrs Wacky has 4 months off and then we'll be sending lil wacky to daycare. My work helps a little bit to make this happen, just because they don't want me working remote with a new baby, unless the mom is there.

Maybe my kids were just different. Both had 90 minute cycles of 20-30 minutes sleep, wake up pissed, 20-30 minutes of feeding, 40-60 minutes pissed off until they fell asleep again. After we finally fell asleep 10-15 minutes after they fell asleep, 10-20 minutes later they were awake again pissed and hungry.

Grats Wacky.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.
