People who have done the childbirth thing, give me your hot takes on what to bring/not bring to the hosp whenshe goes into labor/for the few days afterward

-Tons of snacks. She/you will be hungry right after Li'l S      B      is born, and hospital food gets old quick.
-Game Boys (one for each)

End of list.

Condoms. You don't want to end up pregnant again so soon after having a baby.

My wife had a maternity ward nurse friend in CA. The nurse friend walked in on a husband in bed with the new mom going to pound town the day after she had given birth. That had to be rape....Married or not.

That's pretty mumped up Slobber.

Ski-be if you have a choice between a regular hospital room or one of those birthing centers choose the hospital room.  The birthing center is set up to make wifey super comfy but crap on dads.  You get a recliner or shitty couch to sleep on in the birthing center.  Hospital room = real bed with sheets, pillows, and everything.

From my story prior to the rape post. No woman is pushing a baby out her private parts one day and then inviting a man to climb on top of her with 24 hours. Hell, you could say the same thing if the period was 24 weeks.

That is something I would understand on gE and use as appropriate. Since I didn't say Canadian friend, I didn't mean Canadian friend. Eh?

Today I learned that BF's kids were delivered in Opposite Land.

Also, I love the logic of "Your wife who endured giving birth to a Li'l You will be super comfy at a birthing center but you who did very little will have to sleep on a lazy boy. Woof, better stick us both in terrible hospital beds."

Just joshin', BF.

Hey wondermeal, bud, a fellow poster was looking for advice and I offered mine.  If one sitch offers better accommodations for the father I was going to post it... Not to mention the hospital is better equipped than the birthing center in case of emergency but who cares if the love of your life dies while producing your legacy.   She was more comfy in an inferior facility.  Oh well.

Hospital room= pullout sofa sleeping.

Birthing room center thingy=weird wood chair that only partially reclined with a single cross stick thing as the footrest part(was horrible sleeping).

Two different hospitals but I essentially had a futon for both.

They will have a courtesy room for dad's with snacks coffee etc.

First one was all access all the time, buffet of coffee, juice, fruit, cereal.
Second time you had to have the nurse get what you wanted.

Let the nurses take the baby the first night.  It doesn't make you a bad parent.

MrsDMartin has had plenty of nurse friends, and they've almost all told her at least one story of walking in on couples having sex within 24 hours of giving birth.

It was a suspect story Slobs. Like "friend of a friend from California" doesn't sound 100% credible. dmartin's version had more 1st hand accounts and multiple sources.

Also, to think a human man would do that.........
