steve dave, listen to me. Do not do this. You are going to look at all the awesome rides like the Tower of Terror and Aerosmith Roller Coaster and just not be able to ride them. Unless of course Mrs. sd wants to hold sdjr for an hour while you wait in line and then ride it. Which is totally possible. What I'm saying is it's going to be like looking at and smelling a juicy, perfectly grilled rare steak for hours and hours on end without being able to eat it. Just absolute torture. Feed sdjr tons of milk and vitamins so hopefully he meets the height requirement by age 5 and take him there then. You're welcome for the awesome advice, btw.

Stevesie is on to something here.  The height thing is a big deal for most rides.  We waited until our kids were at least 8 before going.  They were tall enough to ride almost everything (our daughter wasn't tall enough to ride the Rock'n Roller Coaster and was super pissed).

taking an infant to an amusement park sounds like a really foolish idea.

Yeah, wait until they are older. We just traveled to Charleston and back with my family for vacation and it was great, but having boys that are 10 and 13 make most activities doable and fun.

I had to have a birds and bees talk with my 10 year old nephew who stayed with us for a week.  The combination of unfettered youtube access and male curiosity got him in a bit of trouble.

Aren't you supposed to let the parents handle that?

He is on his 3rd "dad" and his parents aren't the best (in-laws) which I think got him into this in the first place.  I told his mom "why should we have to do it" and her response was "what do you want me to tell him?"  I guess that he has a mom that puts this crap on someone else's shoulders.

I think he is between 3rd/4th grade

Lots of Disney rides aren't really like other amusement park rides.  It's more like: sit in this moving box with seats and watch the scenery. And you can take a baby on those. There are plenty of other things to do, too.

One tip to consider: go to the park in the morning, leave in the afternoon to get a rest/break/nap and get out of the heat, and then go back in the evening.

Oh, and you can avoid lines by making an appointment online or something.

He denied youtubing boobs and vagina for about 12 hours but finally came clean.  I basically told him he was too young to be looking at that stuff online and if he had questions he could ask.  He eventually said he had questions that his dad told him he wouldn't talk to him about until middle school.  Said he wanted to know how babies were made.  My GF and I gave him a short version and he said that his mom told him that they prayed to God and he put a baby in her.  We told him that sometimes when people have trouble having a baby they pray so that was what she was referring to.

A little awkward but I decided I didn't really care and it would be more awkward for him so screw it.

I think it was around 4th or 5th grade that I discovered that there were pictures of naked women on the internet.

Pretty crazy to think that not that long ago the worst your kid could be exposed to was likely a hustler mag.  Now they can be on the deep internetz :runaway:

my dad never had any talk with me.

apparently he tried several times but when he'd come into my room I'd always act put out that he was there and he'd give up.  I didn't know at the time that he was trying but years later I realized it.
