This is really something. You would think he could just say it wasn’t true since he was asked directly.

I call upon #neocongE (pariticularly Lick who is always all angst laden and hand wringing about Chinese soft power) . . . to join me, Don Trump and Congressional Republicans in calling for Lip Bu-Tan CEO of Intel to resign or be forced out by the company.

What kind of derp ass SFB's company hires that guy and then makes him CEO . . . particularly a company which make a vital Geo-strategic product.

Disappointed. The old man parroted this nonsense in under 5 minutes after seeing Cotton say it on TV. Took you a whole day.  :impatient:

Looks like Trump put a guy with a PhD in economics from Harvard into the empty fed governor's seat. You guys were right, he went for a non qualified lackey.

Use adult words (for once) and explain why this is "nonsense".

FYI - I am still waiting on you to walk us through multiple other things you've  :bawl: :bawl: :bawl: about to tell us why they were a bad thing.

So far . . . #crickets

"remains invested in 20 funds and companies alongside Chinese government funds or state-owned enterprises, according to Chinese corporate databases." . . . Reuters regarding Tan's Walden International VC firm.

Viewers of this blog are reminded that #blueanongE completely losses their mind when Musk's Chinese involvement is brought up.  Just a complete diaper soiling affair of immense proportions.

Edit: There's also a slew of additional investments and positions at various points in time with PLA (that's People's Liberation Army for the uninformed) owned entities and chief suppliers.

Dude made Cadence a lot of money. Intel has been in freefall for years. Almost everybody has already moved to Arm. What is the rationale for calling for this guy to resign? Cause he want to invest in China before? Guess what, it would be near impossible find a semiconductor executive without business relationships in China over the last few decades.

If there is something there I'm going to need a hell of a lot more than Cotton not liking that the guy was born in Malaysia.

Cadence paid a $140 million dollar fine for selling the Chinese National Military University chip design products.

The fine is meaningless, people need to go to jail.

It's Clinton - Loral at that point

Gonna need a Lick angst laden Chinese soft power statement on this . . .

So I just read all of this https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/cadence-design-systems-agrees-plead-guilty-and-pay-over-140-million-unlawfully-exporting

Hard to tell from that, how high the decision to sell to that university went. My guess is that some VP didn't want to let the people up top know, and as big as Cadence contracts are, it wouldn't surprise me at all if the US executive team never knew about it.

But! If you want the guy at the top to be responsible for his whole organization, I'm here for it. Let's just remember to apply that across the board going forward.

Your political movement already applies that across the board selectively.

How many CEO’s in technology aren’t aware of the sales pipeline, major deals and the contractual process that involves a nation state customer?

Give me a rough ridin' break chief.

56 transactions dude - there’s no excusing this and the ol “I just didn’t know” doesn’t  fly here. You don’t know who your companies customers are as CEO?  This isn’t a telecom (or similar) with 65 million customers.

Particularly when it’s a very specific export controlled product.

I've worked in multi-billion dollar business units, and know for an absolute fact that the CEO was unaware of details in our marketing pipeline.

I've also dealt with export controls on this exact stuff, and I believe that someone knew they were breaking the law. Again, my guess is that was a business unit VP, because that's how this crap works.

But take your "your political movement" and shove it. If the dude is guilty, do something about it. I truly don't give a damn. I don't know much about this guy. I do know that Intel is in a world of hurt regardless of whether this dude is a crook or not. And you can't convince me that Trump has a single clue one way or the other.

I also know hat you won't apply this logic to anyone that agrees with Trump.

I’ve worked at multi multi billion dollar companies and know for a fact that the highest of C-Suite personnel were intimately involved in ensuring the company was not violating the Secure Equipment act of 2021 (one example) and those companies (plural) had a combined 100 million plus customers.

I’ve sat in meetings with the very top of Fortune 50 companies to discuss complex contracts involving domestic and foreign governments of which the CEO was very aware.

Stop making excuses.

Your letting your hyperpartisanism show (again)

Lol, waiting on pins and needles for Dax's response. There isn't a subject matter or industry he isn't an expert on. I'm sure this will be no different.

waks . . . explain why you can't tolerate any dissenting opinions on this blog?  I spent a long time in IT/Big Telecom and sold to our Federal Government/DOD.  To make a long and giant PITA story short. I had to get eyelid deep into issues revolving around the Secure Equipment Act of 2021 and multiple other related security issues . . . and at the core of those issues were CHIPS and who made them.

because you're a blowhard, dude. It doesn't matter the subject matter, you'll claim to know more than anyone else, even when you're clearly outgunned on the topic. You'll then accuse others, often arbitrarily, of thinking they're experts when you're guilty of that exact behavior. It's exhausting.

Outgunned?

Maybe it takes an incredible amount of brain power for you to understand these things, so that's why you're mad.

CEO of one of our most important companies has massive Chinese interests, has been engaged in millions, possibly billions of dollars of investment with ChiCom military owned entities and his former company did nearly 60 transactions involving restricted technology that resulted in that company being fined $140 million dollars by our government . . . and the old and ridiculous "he just didn't know" defense is being used?

It doesn't take much brain power to understand that, chief.

Intelligent viewers of this blog will join me in noting that Don Trump (well known Putin Puppet . . . as stated by the actual Putin Puppets) is looking to clamp down harder on Russian black market oil trade if Vlad doesn't stop the war.  This could involve certain movements surrounding China and India (India - very disappointing).
