Is RFK jr going to get pharma ads banned? I figured it had been killed by now but he's a persistent little bastard.

If we gets those ads gone and shut ups about vaccines being bad and wasting time on it I'll like that very much

there's a lot of good stuff he likes that I like. the stuff you just mentioned, getting more whole foods in kids (and adults) diets, going hard after sugary drinks, etc.

Common Ground!
Pretty sure that Big Pharma and Big Soda will be able to strike a VERY GREAT and Beautiful DEAL with the Regime and nothing of net benefit to anyone's health will happen. Could see insurance plans being forced to pay for stuff like supplements and other products that Regime-aligned influencers are peddling.

Agree, but it appears he is going to burn everything to the ground first and before he maybe gets to those things maybe. Its almost like you could maybe not defund kids cancer research, take away programs designed to keep people from freezing to death, stop food bank deliveries, fire everyone that does these things, AND get these stupid ads off our TVs, promote healthy eating, and get the unnecessary crap out of our food. That would all be stupid though.

This isn’t terrifying at all. Seems they maybe dont want this (innocent) guy back in the US talking about this.

They’ve been furiously testing what they can get away with under the umbrella of executive authority, and so far it seems like quite a bit.

U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis on Friday ordered the administration to “facilitate and effectuate” Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s return to the U.S. by late Monday night. Justice Department lawyers asked the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to immediately pause the judge’s order.

“A judicial order that forces the Executive to engage with a foreign power in a certain way, let alone compel a certain action by a foreign sovereign, is constitutionally intolerable,” they wrote.

That argument is all well and good and sounds persuasive ... if you ignore the fact that you created the peril and have the most unclean of hands. I don't know how it works in the criminal or immigration context, but the government should be judicially estopped or whatever from advancing that position.

History will look back at this period as a time of massive upheaval, fracturing and reforming of the lines separating the three branches. I pray to science that this all results in a restrained Executive.

It almost seems like MAGA may have been projecting a bit by constantly calling Biden a dictator. :dunno:

U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis ruled Sunday that the Trump administration must return Kilmar Abrego Garcia—a Salvadoran visa holder who was deported to an El Salvador mega prison last month due to an “administrative error”—to the United States within three days. “They put him there, they can bring him back,” Abrego Garcia’s lawyer argued in response to immigration authorities’ claim that the U.S. now lacks the legal authority to order the Maryland resident’s return. The Trump administration has accused Abrego Garcia of being a member of the MS-13 gang, an allegation he and his lawyer dispute. Meanwhile, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told Xinis she should contact Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele “because we are unaware of the judge having jurisdiction or authority over the country of El Salvador.”
I don't think we've talked enough about how messed up this is. People are getting disappeared out of the US and then the Regime just says "whoopsie, we don't have any way to get them back." Incredibly bad.

The deportation crap they are pulling is extremely mumped up, and it is not getting near enough attention it deserves. It is absolutely disgusting and shameful.

It’s absolutely horrific if they don’t have to bring that guy back. They could literally deport any US citizen and say “oops, well nothing we can do now.”
