Agree, but it appears he is going to burn everything to the ground first and before he maybe gets to those things maybe. Its almost like you could maybe not defund kids cancer research, take away programs designed to keep people from freezing to death, stop food bank deliveries, fire everyone that does these things, AND get these stupid ads off our TVs, promote healthy eating, and get the unnecessary crap out of our food. U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis on Friday ordered the administration to “facilitate and effectuate” Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s return to the U.S. by late Monday night. Justice Department lawyers asked the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to immediately pause the judge’s order.

“A judicial order that forces the Executive to engage with a foreign power in a certain way, let alone compel a certain action by a foreign sovereign, is constitutionally intolerable,” they wrote.

That argument is all well and good and sounds persuasive ... if you ignore the fact that you created the peril and have the most unclean of hands. I don't know how it works in the criminal or immigration context, but the government should be judicially estopped or whatever from advancing that position.

History will look back at this period as a time of massive upheaval, fracturing and reforming of the lines separating the three branches. I pray to science that this all results in a restrained Executive.
