This might be a controversial opinion but I don't think the president's doctors should be having press conferences about his condition. There's literally nothing to gain by doing so. I don't think the media's and dems need to know is reasonable enough. If he isn't doing well, it's a national security risk and then they have to lie. There have been medical issues that this president and others have had that we haven't been privy to, not sure how this is different. They should have released that he's sick, all subsequent updates should be statements, not press conferences.

Trump has a history of trotting his docs out to "project confidence and good health" even in his normal physicals, this seems to match that M.O.

It certainly does, it's more of the same grandstanding that's a hallmark of his administration. After they got caught lying, they keep trotting the doctors out there and yesterday Trump's doc was left with no choice but to throw the rest of the administration under the bus. I just don't get continuing to do these press conferences, especially if they know trump is getting out, what other show of strength do they need?

i agree that there isn't an overwhelming need for the public to know, but they have to do them because people would speculate like crazy if they didn't and they don't want that.  it's an election issue more than a governance issue.

Yet these are so incompetent in being consistent with messaging that nobody believes what they say so it turns into the same problem

I hope they release pictures of maskless Trump behind his desk surrounded by staffers in hazmat suits. Wonderful image for him.

Big thanks to the Don Trump administration for fighting Russian influence all over the globe.    Currently engaged in a unilateral effort against Russian arms sales to Iran with virtually no help from countries living under the warm comfy blanket of U.S. military might, including one country which is an economic boon to Vlad Putin and Russian energy oligarchs.

Now substantially ramping up sanction threats against Turkey (a NATO 'partner') for deploying the Russian made S-400 system.  After getting Turkey kicked out of the F-35 program.

Well normally he doesn’t do tweets like that in all caps. It’s usually just a few words, so that’s different.

I don't think it's very different. People should stop acting like the drugs are turning him into a dumbass.
