Lick, you should stick to trying to talk about Chinese "soft power" (which is something that I brought up on here a long time ago).   Maybe if you'd quit placing all of your self esteem on your self perceived "status" on this message board and actually read what's posted,  you'd better comprehend things.

take it to the soft power thread.

Or maybe common ground thread as we seem to both agree it is an issue.

Maybe search some of my amazing write ups on here about it.

It's a great primer and learning experience for you.

Before he deletes.

It's just a utter damn shame that the previous worthless administration did nothing to stop the militarization of police forces across the United States.   Unfortunately the Democratic party will nominate yet another mega corrupt white old liberal racist to run for president who was a driving force behind Super Predator/We Will Bring them to Heel sentencing legislation which dis-proportionally targeted African American communities.

For sure, there's no convincing him of anything. If Trump tells him the sky is green, he'll believe it. I just wanted to quote because it's an EXTRAORDINARY example of saying the opposite of what is actually the case.

Candyman . . . sadly you instantly reaffirm that your a rock headed dipshit by always dropping the race card.   You're incapable of talking about actual policy or in this case, lack thereof, because you lack the intellectual capacity to do so.

Now, the ramp up of the militarization of the local (and state) police began under Bush II and continued with little to no modification on the trajectory during the 8 years of Barry Obama.

Unfortunately (and once again) the epicenter of racial strife in our nation is in yet another Liberal controlled metropolitan area, and in this case its a white liberal controlled metropolitan area.   Klo had every opportunity prosecute the primary offender and she failed miserably.    Allowing this guy to continue to roam the streets on patrol with a laundry list of complaints piling up.

Actually I have addressed that.   The previous administration managed to put together a bullet point play book that looked like it was straight out of (insert corporate marketing department here) that at the end of the day meant absolutely nothing in terms of execution, stockpiles etc. etc.

Of course, you won't engage on this because you simply gurgle out the same replies or simply parrot what others are saying.

Which clearly did little to nothing to actually change behavior, particularly when white liberal prosecutors fail to execute their duties.

  That did virtually nothing to stop the items of a military nature that the vast majority of police departments were purchasing and did nothing to stop the re-design of most police departments uniforms to appear more militaristic in nature.    The NYC cops (for example) are/were still out on the streets in their all black riot gear head to toe with automatic assault weapons.   Tracked Vehicles?   The ability to get around all of that with various wheeled armored vehicles is endless.

"Controlled equipment list":  Translation-Send a few guys off for certification, check off the boxes-Certified.

Amazing.

The problem you always have, Phil.  Is that you never seem to bother with the details.  Pro Tip:  Police departments if they jumped through the right hoops could still get nearly everything they wanted.

Did they go and take away anything that they already had?  Were police departments forced to turned in the tracked troop carriers they already owned?   No, no they weren't.

It all made people like you feel better but in the real world it pretty much didn't mean crap.
