But estimates of the impacts for some of the cuts that were outlined Wednesday, such as the estate tax and alternative minimum tax repeals, can be made, and they run directly counter to the populist themes that animated Mr. Trump’s campaign. He has often stated his concern for ordinary working men and women who he contends were forgotten under previous administrations but have risen to the top of the priority list under his leadership.

Wacky what are you talking points for why this is good for Charlie the coal miner.

Hey libtards, income tax is a tax on income, not wealth.

Nobody is surprised your response to the proposed tax reform is page 2 of the libtard playbook: class warfare.

Stop being so butthurt that hundreds of millions of working americans are getting an enormous tax break.

A single coal miner earning $70,000 per year would have a tax burden of $4,500 under Trump's plan. Under the current tax code, that burden would be $11,663.75. That is taking the standard deduction in both cases.

He won't be taking the standard deduction, so that is a waste of time, Phil. If he did take the standard deduction, his cut would be a lot smaller, percentage-wise.

$4,500 would be what he pays. He would save $7,100.

Why it gotta be a he?  :curse: :shakesfist:

It's fine. Everybody will get a little more change in their pocket and the Trump's of the world will got a ton of bills in their pocket. Everything will be great then.  Ignore the tax experts on this one.

It must be nice to be so privileged that you have no idea how far $7,100 goes in a lower-middle class family living in rural America, Phil. That almost covers 1 year of rent in West Virginia.

If anti Trumpers are as legit as I think they are, they'll so eff no to this money and give it to the LBGTQ, the poor, aiding refugees, etc. I hope they do the right thing and hold by their values. It'd be embarrassing if they didn't.

Ffs stop with that noise. Nobody knows anybody else's situation. Trump's plan gives his kind the huge breaks...great...we get some too. It's all fine. Ignore any dissenting view.

It must really suck having a playbook with only three plays: 1. Racist, 2. Class warfare (i.e., the 1%), 3. Sexist

Phil is so obsessed with how much money a rich guy keeps he can't see what's good for him.

Thankfully due to my liberal friends, whatever extra $ they get, they can funnel into the macro cause. I know they'll do the right thing. It's what you guys stand for. Thank you!
