I agree that there is value in having land not used by anyone for anything.

This board has been craving an "Emo's Public Lands/Pittman-Robertson Party" thread for far too long.

I think it's pretty disgusting that Emo wants public land to only be hunted by rich people

1) "across the board cuts" that the guy who is in charge of rolling out the tax cuts admitted could not guarantee a middle class tax cut, but will definitely include huge tax cuts for the wealthy.

Before and after pics in the link.

Quote
environmentalists worry the order is a precursor to expanding coal mining and oil drilling on America’s wildlands.

Neither Zinke nor Trump has confirmed this is the case, but in a sad bit of irony, The Wilderness Society noted yesterday that the official Bureau of Land Management Flickr account has radically shifted its focus away from, well, land, and onto fossil fuel development.

The BLM page has dozens of stunning albums full of wildflowers, paleontology, endangered species, and renewable energy initiatives. And yet the recent focus now is on harmful drilling practices, at the exact moment that Trump is deregulating the EPA and now, signaling that he wants to scale back protections on national lands. It sends a message.

It's very lol when people think tax cuts are inherently good. Tax cuts can be good if done responsibly. This plan is overall not responsible even if there are a few beneficial parts to it.

It's a pretty substantial tax cut for the vast majority of Americans.

I could see that.  I just don't think most people would know the difference.  You probably wouldn't even, except maybe if you logged in to goEMAW and Emo told you.

Anyway, there is looooots of untouched land in Alaska.  I see these governor's tags as a way to willingly tax the rich for the benefit of poor saps like us with negligible impact to the public's assets.

Tax cuts were a big part of the reason of why I voted for Trump. I liked his plan and honestly, don't feel bad for taking some of that $ away from refugees, people milking welfare, etc.

You aren't taking any money away from them, so you shouldn't feel bad.

Wacky... You're a rough ridin' idiot.

Go back to your "working hard", "pulling yourself up by your bootstraps", dentist recruiting expertise and leave subjects like economic tax policy, immigration, and the social safety net for people that have more intelligence and empathy (not to mention a desire and ability to look beyond themselves and realize the larger machinations of the rich ruling class and their greed).

Your ignorance and poor choices (i.e. politicians) are affecting life and future prosperity for the rest of the world not white, male, or christian... which at the end of the day is going to impact us all, even us hayseeds.

Some of the tax stuff it ok, Fine with raising the deduction, I'm fine if you lower taxes if it ultimately has less loopholes/none in it, since the effective rate the real rate are closer, and you don't really lose revenue, but the ultimate outcome of what he's proposing will exacerbate the situation (even greater wealth gap, ultimately fail in increasing any revenue for any sort of economic boom) They tried this in the 80s, it didn't work then, they tried it here in KS, not working, but sure, keep trying, maybe it'll work. (not)

Btw, the amount we spend on things like welfare and whatnot are mere pittances compared to our overblown military.

Of all of your ignorant, uninformed posts this is the most ignorant, uninformed post of them all.

More money was spent on bombing a Syrian parking lot for 30 minutes than any refugee or welfare milker could ever take.

Yeah, when we cut taxes, we're not pulling $ away from other programs. I'm such a dumb eff!

Also, Cam, the way you let politics run your life is worrisome.

In this case, we are just increasing the deficit.

He was being sarcastic.  Wack believes cutting taxes for the wealthy will be offset by cutting welfare.
