I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

Brietbart and Fox News are definitely untruthful. Republican and Democrat responders are definitely going to skew the numbers in their favors, so I'd look more at the independents:

Quote
Independents, meanwhile, believe both the administration and the news media are untruthful, with 52 percent saying the administration is untruthful and 47 percent saying the same about the media.

I guess I'll just put this here.

http://thehill.com/homenews/media/318514-trump-admin-seen-as-more-truthful-than-news-media-poll

The poll consisted of 617 people, dude.

And consisted solely of people with landlines. So you know, a bunch of people in the middle of nowhere hence their cell phones not working. Great sample group.

617 people is not a poor sample, and not sampling mobile-only users is a persistent problem that polls have tools to adjust for.

that's a fairly scary result.

"Not a good look" for Trump? The results fall almost exactly in line with the vote. What would you expect?

The story here is that the media is viewed even more dimly in terms of honesty, and that appears to be a somewhat bipartisan opinion.

Loss of credibility = loss of influence.

i think a newly elected president already not looked at as trustworthy is a bad thing although to give him props that percent is better than I'd expect.

I think we all know the media has problems they need to correct to regain the public's trust...it's not a breaking story uncovered by this poll.  I would say I'm not looking for the media to influence....their attempt at that is what has lost them credibility.

The take away from that poll is that Trump supporters are stupid enough to still believe him.

I'll never understand why so many Libs are in favor of people breaking a myriad of Federal laws or why so many Libs support politicians who willfully and knowingly ignore Federal law and/or proactively advocate breaking/ignoring Federal law.  But that's what we have going on in the case of illegal immigration.

This phenomenon is particularly interesting in light of a collective mentality espouse by many Libs that the Federal government should be, in all matter of thinking, the great over lord.  States and local governments in their view are not to be trusted, too prone to undue influence by local players, particularly evil conservatives.   Collectively their world view places Washington DC as the omnipotent grand controller of all things in the United States.

Except!  In regards those select things that are counter to their world view.  Then, by all means, defer immediately to the local political ethos.  After all, on these select few things it is the indigenous politician (so long as we agree with them politically) that truly understands the situation and is "compassionate".

Is the day here that people saying off Trump and having him tweet about your company is a positive thing? If it's not here yet it's not far off.

It's because they don't support those laws, dax. If you can't get the laws changed to something more acceptable, the best course of action is to just hope they don't get enforced.
