Ftr I'm against kids smoking weed or drinking. I think legal weed is mostly less accessible to kids and safer for the population. On the whole, the positives greatly outweigh the negative of a handful of more junkies and I have no problem with a portion of tax money going to substance abuse programs.

I don't agree with illegal weed being more accessible to kids than legal weed. You have to at the very least know a guy who knows a guy that sells drugs to get illegal weed. You just have to know somebody over the age of 21 to get legal weed. Booze was ridiculously easy to come by when I was in high school. I very rarely came across pot. Maybe it's an urban vs rural thing.

Considering ChiCat posted a link saying that weed usage amongst teens is like 20% I don't think that's true. Everyone was smoking weed in high school like everyone was slaying chicks.

It seemed to me that weed was more accessible in high school than booze. Anecdotal, I know.

*Also slayed.

mostly other athletes who all binge drank and smoked a ton of schwag. the vast majority started manufacturing/ construction careers, enlisted in the service, or went on to college immediately after graduation.

I worked with a few.  One guy would make drug runs from CA to KS.  I guess you could say he was a dealer.

We were the best drinkers, never saw a joint, not once. Like I said before, I'm sure it's a rural/urban thing though.

probably helped immensely growing up in a college town, weed was pretty accessible if you wanted it and booze you really just needed a friend with an older sibling.
