OK, so Delores swatted a fly at the end....does that mean she is or is not evolving?

There were a few points early in the episode where she did not react to flies landing on her. She is evolving.

the foreshadowing was really strong:

the opening scene with the fly, the "wouldn't hurt a fly" comment and then the final scene

Right I got that....but it seemed like some of the ones with a "glitch" were actually trying to evolve. But then those are the ones that won't swat the fly. Was the dad evolving when he was questioning the photo or was that the normal reaction of a host?

I don't think the hosts are supposed to see anything when they look at modern photos.

Harris is a guest imo.

Laughed out loud when the dorky guy killed the bandit right before his speech

I've watched the episode twice and I'm leaning towards Ed Harris being a guest.  This reminds me I should go watch the movie because I've only seen it once and that was like 20 years ago.  Overall a great cast and I'm looking forward to keeping up with this show.

Also lots of android dongs and hoots and stuff if you're into that sort of thing.

I like Michael Chrichton

If I watch the movie is that going to ruin/spoil the show?

In the movie you definitely know whether Ed Harris's character is a guest or a host.  That doesn't necessarily mean the show will be 100% faithful to the movie.  To me watching the movie again seems like a good idea to get caught back up with the whole concept.

OK, so the movie has the exact same characters? Is it not just like the same concept or that the show is in the future after the movie?
There was a little bit of a hint of that when they mentioned that there hadn't been an incident in 30 years.

Maybe the man in black is a special host that has guest privileges or something. They don't do anything about him because he's supposed to be doing whatever he's doing.

Man in Black is a newcomer/human trying to find out what the creator (Hopkins) is up to. At the end that gives a look ahead at the season the Man in Black says "there is a deeper game here, something that the person that created it wanted to express, something true, and that game cuts deep." How the MIB is getting there without the creators or the people who run the hosts knowing is a question I can't answer right now.

Orchestral rendition of Paint it Back during the shootout montage was pretty great. Also face getting blown off into a player piano :surprised:

:don'tcare:

would you like to fight?
Let's discuss it Saturday over some beers.

It will have to be through cellular communications devices. I will be in ICT for The Avett Brothers with waks. Thanks for the tickets, ChiCat!
