Am I supposed to understand what Anthony Hopkins is talking about when he says that he is planning something unique and then looking at a church steeple with no church?

I haven't watched episode 2 yet, but this show had me hooked.

How would you guys spend your time at West World?  Let's assume someone gave you a free trip gift certificate, or you won it at a raffle or something...so you are totally going.

What would you do?  Straight talk here, honest, let's get real.  I can sincerely tell you that I am unlike the man in black, because I have zero desire to murder a chick's boyfriend and then rape her. In fact, I wouldn't do either of those things, regardless of the order.

Most of what you COULD do in an old west world does not interest me.  I suppose I would "do it" (sex,if you know what I mean) with a robot, because hey you only live once, but beyond that  it seems like the old west would get boring.  All dirty and smelly, and the food would be terrible.

I have played enough GTA and Red Dead to know that after I looked around for about 10 minutes I unfortunately know exactly what I would be doing.... and it isn't treasure hunting.

This show is a blood bath.  I'm not sure what it cost a visitor to shoot or kill a host, but I bet it isn't cheap.  That's why the "man in black" doesn't plan on leaving.

There are new theories out there about the Man in Black.

I am rooting for ole Ed Harris to make it through the maze.  I don't really want to root for the robots.  I also dislike the guy that is sympathetic to them.

I think the host crushed his own head in so the scientists wouldn't be able to evaluate what was wrong with him.

the stray was fine.  that story in the grand scheme will bear lots of fruit, but I like how it manifests differently.

I wouldn't have gotten out of the dressing room. (ep3)

Are we doing spoilers in here?

I'm curious to see how people are taking flashbacks that one host was having in ep 3.  Were they flashback/reveries where she was learning or something else?

They are flashbacks of previous events that had been wiped from her memory.

i botched up what I was trying to get at.  Previously the episodes showed the complete reset of her timeline to show her cycle of monotony.  Are those memories now that reset in a mini form? Was she living those days as we were watching them or was she accessing old memories?  Because if we were watching them in 'real time' then William's story line has progressed over a few days we didn't see.

I don't really understand specially which memories you are talking about, but.....

Dolores was shown several times waking up in her bed. I think her memories had just been wiped. But the McPoyle guy in the white hat (is that William?) had been there before and was still there after....so if Dolores' memory was wiped it would not provide a continuous timeline for him. So that is a little confusing.

[spoilers ahead from ep 3!!!]

I mean the flashbacks of being shot in the stomach-ish area, replay where she killed the cowboy for trying to rape her.

Oh the part where she got shot and was bleeding but then the next second she hadn't been shot. Yeah I don't know exactly what was going on. Were they trying to show that scenario had happened before where she got shot but that this time she didn't actually get shot?
