Is it in Chicago for a extended stay, or is it just a touring production?

It's been in Chicago since September, expected run of about 2 years

I don't love the schuyler sisters numbers all that much.  The "I've been reading Common Sense by Thomas Paine" part is like nails on a chalkboard to me for whatever reason.

But I think it's a great musical, and like 8mp, I got obsessed with the soundtrack months and months before I ever saw it live.  That said, if you're on the #fence about it, I'd definitely err on the side of seeing it.

Huge Hamilton fan. Don't really care for the love story parts. Ol' Lin took the most historical license with those, it appears. However, I believe he did a great job capturing the essence of many of the historical conflicts. And he did so in a fun way. Restoring with a new verse the ancient rhyme, as one famous turncoat was wont to say.

I haven't read much of this thread but knowing it was he that played Alvy on house makes me chuckle.

I have two tickets to Hamilton in Chicago on August 9 that I'd be willing to sell for face x 2. Hmu if interested.

I saw Cats (revival) on broadway this week.  I cried.  Memories got me, man.

Saw School of Rock as well.  Those kids!

Saw a really awkward improve murder mystery with like 20 other people off broadway.  Won't do that again.

Seeing Phantom of the Opera Thursday afternoon to close this thing out.

Phantom and Cats are great, that looks like an excellent theatre trip. I've never seen School of Rock, kinda scared I won't like it even though I love music.

I was worried about school of rock as well, but the kids were great.  They really stole the show.  Made it very fun.

Man, I am going to win an award this year.  We were supposed to fly back Tuesday, but they got a big store and all flights were cancelled, so we had a Wednesday flight.  Then they cancelled that one, and can't get us out until Friday morning from Newark.  It's been crazy.

Phantom felt too long to me.  It really did feel like a show from a different era, even though it premiered in 86.  Gavin said that, I have been humming "Think of me" non stop.

Did you see where I loved the Spiderman cartoon?

Also the music from Hamilton is catchy it's just the broadwayification of it is what makes it unbearable

what does spiderman have anything to do with hamilton? i just meant hamilton is universally adored with no backlash (except maybe some trumpers due to the pence dustup).

broadwayification? it was written as a broadway musical! do you like any musicals?
