I'm hoping to take my Hamilton fanatic to see it in London next summer. It will still be running there next summer, right?

Yes. BTW when y'all are going to these shows in NYC and London, I sure hope you aren't paying full price for these tickets

Hipster alert!  If you can't enjoy the climax of defying gravity's climax to closeout act I, i'm sorry.

I was supposed to see My Fair Lady a couple months ago but we had to bail at the last minute.

yes! all were great.

Hamilton: spectacular, no surprise.
Parade: wanted to see it because of Ben Platt. amazing vocals throughout the cast. incredibly powerful story.
Harry Potter: didn't know that much about it, thought it was a musical, nope! just a play, but amazing production. story/plot is kind of bonkers but incredible experience.

i also added Sweeney Todd at the last minute which was great, Josh Groban! but i thought Annaleigh Ashford stole the show.

my wife went to Pamela Anderson in Chicago and said she did a pretty good job! It's crazy to me how often A-list celebrities are on Broadway

also an interesting New York thing is Broadway shows are advertised all the time, and the ads are always absolutely terrible and would make you want to avoid the show if at all possible. And they are all produced in like the exact same style, it's so bizarre.

Man Sweeney Todd is a miss for me.  It's a cool story, but I think the music is garbo.

I saw Newsies at the historic Missouri Theater in St Joseph Missouri last summer. It was incredibly good. And I don't even like the movie that much. It was my wife's favorite movie as a child so I've seen it many times.

I like that they talk in between songs. I don't like things where they sing the whole entire time, like Hamilton. It's like, just calm down and talk for a minute omg.

Idk if it's the proper term, but I refer to the "only singing" musicals as "operas."  Phantom and Les Mis are like that too.

I saw Newsies at Shawnee Mission Park last summer and was blown away.  For an amateur/local production, it was extremely impressive.
