I think the question is if he will be only someone to take up some minutes or if he is someone we can rely on decent production from.

why are people so excited to get rid of gip and give his minutes to DJamer?

Who's excited to get rid of Gip?  He was the hardest working man on this year's team, a true Wildcat. I didn't see anyone on the current roster with his low post skill.  At 6'7"* he was amazing. Is DJamer getting his minutes, who said that?

*My guess is he's 6'7" but for his true height you would need a ruling from EMAWzafried. Looks like he is the tallness moderator on the board.

i've just seen a lot of people talk about how excited they are to get DJamer back but then not say anything about how bad it's going to be that gip is leaving.

like-great news guys we get DJamer back.

then i want to be like well crappy news dork because we also lose gip.

Its fine if you're excited for next year, but listing how tall a player is is probably the dumbest reason.

Have we had a productive player over 6' 9" outside of JO? I can't think of one.

I must admit you certainly are brilliant. Okay, let's only recruit short people.  WTF? We have lacked inside presence for 2 years, except for Gipson, now he's gone.  I have no idea if these guys are any good, but it appears someone is trying to do something about this need.  Wow, you read way too much into my comments.  What insight, not, dpst

Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

You have a bad sense of smell, or freddy does, or who ever does that would make the idea of freddy being productive sound reasonable.

I mean he averaged 5 and 5 and started 13 games for a team that was top 25 and made the tournament.

Returning starters also make everyone better around them better upon their reinsertion per noted dossiehawk, Mr. P. Clams.  So that's a factor many of you hoopheads aren't taking into account.  He is very much a rising tide that's going to lift some catboats come fall.

Very Fred McCoy-ish.

i'm ok admitting to myself that Gipson had a shitshow of a senior year and this team could be better next season with DJamer

my dossier backs up my hoops forecast

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

DJamer 6-9. LOL

Unless he while he was hurt 6'9" might be the biggest height lie in basketball history.
