You would think ole oscar would be wary of and know how to spot these lazy/bad attitude players.  I mean they cost him his job at Illinois.

Maybe he just has the worst luck when it comes to getting tricked by these kids you know? It's not his fault he is so trusting.

It's mind blowing that no one can ask him that question:  why is it that the guys that won't buy in are "your guys".  All we heard about for his first two years or whatever was how, at KSU, oscar would be able to recruit the players he wanted, rather than the ones that people wanted him to recruit (as was the case at Illinois, according to oscar).

No sports reporter in the heartland has the balls to ask a question like that, nor do any probably remember that he used that excuse in the first place. Our local sports journalists are lazy and timid.

Yes, this is the question that needs to be asked. He said himself part of his failure at Illinois was recruiting the wrong kids, failing to coach toughness, and coaching "not to lose". Does he feel this is happening with this team and if not what is different? This doesn't seem hard.

Curtis Kitchen should do this.

I can't see this team under this coach establishing the toughness it takes to improve much.  They are much better at home because the crowd can bring some of the intensity/energy but if they can't bring any fire themselves then they have a hard ceiling.

If we lose a couple early ones to shitty teams like we did last year, I have the feeling that our home court advantage won't be as pronounced as it has been.

I enjoyed Nino trashing the FR/SOs for not buying in after his mutiny had a role in the current coach and roster.

I thought that Nino's role was not confirmed?  He wasn't a Spradling, right?

Could be worse, we could have the current Illini coach.

That responsibility falls on Weber. Unlike previous seasons, when K-State’s roster has been limited on size and depth, Weber has more talent than he knows what to do with right now. Should he start Nigel Johnson or Jevon Thomas at point guard? Should he split Foster between point guard and shooting guard? Should he bring Edwards off the bench? Should he go small with Westicles, Williams and Gipson? Or should he go big with Brandon Bolden and Hurt?

I'll confirm it, and yeah, it made his pity party last night pretty lol.  I hope Jevon throws a bunch of ice cubes at him at the award ceremony.

None of the players are going to make meaningful off season jumps so unless Claws is actually good we are going to be worse

“I will just get straight to the point,” said Edwards, when asked what fans could expect from him this season. “A lot of dunks. You will see a lot of dunks from me, a lot of exciting plays, lobs and dunks. I just think I am going to be a very exciting player with high energy. I like to score, so, yeah, of course I am OK with (the hype).”

“I call him Dirk the Hurt,” forward Brandon Bolden said. “Dirk Nowitzki is his favorite player, and he likes to shoot a lot. He can really shoot the ball. He can post, too. He has good moves, good footwork. He is not as athletic, so he relies more on his footwork and shooting the ball than most power forwards. But he can do it all.”
