It is pissing me off that people keep acting like suckling at the Texas teet is such a bad move for KSU.  Big fracking deal if the conference explodes in two years.  We have two extra years of not being a fracking Mountain West member.  Newsflash:  K-State is a fracking loser school.  We will still be in two years and we can join other loser schools then too.

Agree with this. The only reason we've created any separation between us and the Colorado State/Wyomings of the world is because of years of affiliation with the Big 12.

The lack of a Big 12 Championship Game would have to be redone with abc, right?

i think i heard that the b12 will still have the CCG b/c the ncaa will feel sorry for us.

I don't have time to go back and find it, but the NCAA has reported (and we posted in this thread) that the NCAA could be petitioned to move their requirement from 12 to 10 teams for a champ game in football and the NCAA that they would be responsive to that.  It was part of the reported benefits for MWC adding a 10th team.

So if the Big12 stays together, how does all this impact our recruiting going forward?  Is the conference going to be constantly viewed as on the brink of destruction, so recruits won't want to sign with one of the five loser schools?  Or will the conference be stronger than ever with more $$ and a satisified TX?  Would adding a couple schools improve the stability of the conference?  Any feel on whether or not TX wants to add schools to the remaining 10?
