so if we do have the 5 remaining to we get the money? if not would we consider leaving as a group to the mwc a year earlier like nebraska or hold tight until 2012?

From what I understand, we need at least 4 to keep the conference, but 6 to keep BCS status.

i have a buddy who has an organgebloods subscription and according to an email from about an hour ago...and as crazy as it sounds...the guy who is chip browns boss is saying stuff like (and again this is paraphrasing from an email that i got from a friend

there are two options on the table right now... one is the pac 16 deal and the other is to not go anywhere. the thinking is still pac 10 but a lot of stuff (a lot) is going on behind the scenes. the email goes on to say that some tv people might overpay to ensure that a mega pac 16 never happens.

personal opinions now...the texas govt is thinking about getting big time involved too and one of two things could be going on. 1.) this is serious and the texas govt might just save the conf. 2.)it's all total bs and the teams that are leaving are trying to cover their tracks and act like it hasn't been planned forever. money reasons. court. stuff. something.

Would be great, but it's a total fantasy. When we start hearing the Board of Regents is meeting on such and such day, it means the deal is done. The BOR is a rubber stamp- a formality.
