I hope that those who are saying run to the MWC are ready to increase their Ahearn Donations dramatically.  Because that's what it's going to take to overcome the $4 to $7 million dollar hit that K-State will take based on TV revenue, non automatic BCS bid for the conference and bad bowl tie-ins.

Based on todays' numbers that's a 10% to 20% drop in K-State's athletic budget.

some consideration would have to be made for a reworking of the MWC tv/bowl deals depending on who does join in.  A hit of only $3mil could probably be absorbed ok.

Just cause I'm bored, if we went to the big east with ku and mu (don't care about isu, prolly better to grab memphis):

- basketball: Big East could basically own big Monday, two games, back to back on glorious espn hd.  Split into two division like football with some interleage play, play East tournament and West tournament in different locals, winner of each tourney plays in MSG for the official conf tourney championship.

 - football: same as big 12, two divisions, some interleague play, get on tv somehow, nice little championship game.

they are just slow playing it, wanting to play both sides of the fence.  they are not to be trusted at all by ku or ksu (if the stories are true that we're talking to the big east), kind of want those f*ckers to get left out of everything, but if the south leaves, there will prolly be enough movement that they get one of the last invites to the big 10.
