I thought it was that you had to maintain 5 teams, which we would do with us, UK, Baylor, ISU, and Mizzou. Is that not the law you were referring to?

No.  It's the law that says a Deleware corporation can be killed by majority vote (so 7 defactors could kill the big 12).  There is supposedly a clause in the Big 12 bylaws that require 3/4 vote to kill the conference, but don't know if that overrides the Deleware law or what.  Further, I don't know if any of the above is true, but I have read it all somewhere in the 78 preceding pages.

Every team that leaves reduces the value to ESPN and FSN and Utah or BYU does not restore it.  Also, brush up on your Delaware corporate law.

the conference has contracts with ESPN and FSN, not the teams in the conference.  those contracts would be enforced.  brush up on your contract law.

also brush up on your "amount of votes needed to disolve the B12 conference" rule, those leaving don't have enough.

BITB said yesterday that the new teams would have to be existing BCS teams for this to work.  OR, the Big XII would have to maintain 6 original members.

Honestly, that conference would be pretty damn good in football.  Road trips to Las Vegas, Albuquerque, Boise, and Salt Lake City would definitely not suck.  

Not bad (but not great) tv markets either.
