We will never miss the playoff, and #2 is in the Champions Bowl, so #3 will get this game. Sometimes it will be #4 because we have 2 teams in the playoff.

I enjoy the direction college football is going, yes.  I like being able to see every game on TV, especially because I can't get back to Manhattan as much as I used to.  I like being able to see games from all over the country from a lot of different conferences.

I like how most of these conferences are sharing large amounts of revenue, which is in some ways creating a greater parity amongst those members of larger conferences.

I don't have much sentimental attachment to an older system or a different time.  I respect your thoughts and feelings on the subject, though.

Wow, hadn't even seen this post till now.  But you're spot on.

Fans' number one motive for expansion should be fun.  The season is already a lot of fun with the round robin.  If a move wouldn't increase the fun, then I say "no way, jose*."

*jose in this case refers to louisville/cincy, etc

Man, can't help but continue to think we really royally screwed the pooch by not adding Florida State when we had the chance this summer instead of chasing the ridiculous Notre Dame fantasy.  Still contend 12 with the title game gives US by far the most longterm stability.

I met with President Schulz tonight and asked him about the expansion committee.  Since Notre Dame is now out of the picture, the committee is going to meet next month and decide whether or not they should officially publically announce that they are disbanding the committee.  There are some still pushing for Louisville but most are happy with 10 teams and it is likely Big 12 is staying with 10, there is no incentive to expand at this point.

I did not push for any more information, so that is all I got.
