I'm wondering how the SEC benefits from wrecking the Big XII?  I can understand the desire for Missouri, but not at the expense of our entire league.  SEC needs to tread very carefully here.  I think they know this.  They're also trying to keep the Big East intact by refusing WVU.  

I think that they're seeing what happens with Mizzou before they go to WVU.  They'll probably make a run at FSU before extending an invite to WVU.

This is what's infuriating about this.  We need to be pushing forward with our best interests in this time before the Big East solidifies (or whatever it is they'll do).  We need to be aggressive.  Mizzou is preventing this from happening.

Personally, I don't think they can crowbar FSU in there, even though they make the most sense.

But they can probably get enough votes to screw over South Carolina and get Clemson in there if it comes down to the nitty gritty.

Why?

By destroying the BigEast, one additional BCS at-large bid becomes available.  This at-large will probably fall to an SEC school more often than not.

I don't see why we don't go after the battered wives club conference.  All the middle of the road teams who have been getting crap on the last 2 years should combine to form the first super conference.  It would be an AQ conf.  It would have decent to good TV money.  Now it may not get the highest echelon, but it would be a steady stable build.  Hell if UT had its way we would be relegated to a lower portion of TV money anyway.  Build a new conference on equal money and it would probably be more than what UT would toss us as scraps.
