If I was an MU fan, I'd be pissed if we stayed in the Big XII.

Hyperbole. Staying in a dying conference would do more damage.
Signing over your TV rights means the conference won't die.
I absolutely believe the SEC will be around longer than the Big XII at the highest level of competition. To say it won't die is naive.
To say it will die is as equally naive.
This is the only BCS conference centered in the time zone. If we pick up another Texas school and maybe a couple that bleed into the East Coast (Cincy, WVU, Louisville, etc.), we'll be fine.
I mean, will it always be what it once was? No. But there's a chance, with the right mix, that it will be a lot more harmonious. And with the money we may get, it could be a lot more competitive.
