my hope would be that beebe sticks around for just this year so he can stick it to a&m at every turn just like he did to nebraska. it would also give him a nice farewell tour of sorts. he could go to a sporting even in each big12 city and receive a plaque or car or whatever at halftime.

Let'em keep their Tier 3 money, as long as everything else is shared i.e. Tier 1, Tier 2, Bowl/NCAA then BFD.

Agreed. No conference games in football or basketball on the LHN, though.

If ESPN has a problem with that, they can take it up with Texas.

no, this is nothing for K-State to get excited about. The best thing for KSU is what provides the most stability, and that is not what UT wants. UT is trying to say they are the committed ones in this relationship and that OU is the problem. So the statement was definitely not worth celebrating.

Just had a thought...what if this whole god damn mess was a giant free ad campaign for the LHN.Every National/Local/Regional media-type has been saying the words "Longhorn Network" 100 times per day for the past 2 weeks. I think it's safe to say that word on the LHN is definently out now and TX ends up looking like a hero.

.......which is why it would've been nice for the PAC-12 to make their "we're not expanding" announcement a few days later. Would've given OU more time to play hardball.
