Texas AD DeLoss Dodds told me the UT staff "is working on 20 names" for possible replacements for Texas A&M.

 

Why doesnt he just take over for Beebe, everyone knows he's running the show.

Beebe just lets Dodds do whatever he wants. That's only part of what makes Beebe so awesome.

I think BYU is the obvious choice.

I believe the line of thinking is the Big 12 wouldn't want to abandon the Houston market. 

Texas already has the Houston market. UH would have to upgrade in a goddamn hurry if they wanted to be relevant in the Big 12-2. TCU would be a better option.

I agree. bring in a team from the north like BYU to add depth. To me they are much more respected and would be make our conference better. Adding UH doesn't really do anything other than add a huge university. They really aren't good at any sports. Football they are meh. If everyone else (i.e. Notre Dame, BYU, Arkansas, Arizona, Arizona State, Louisville, Cincy and TCU ) says no then yes we should invite them. but if someone else says yes then we shouldn't even think about it. Maybe if we want to go back to 12 and we could get a couple big name programs then yes.
