The stuff I have been hearing is the A4(P5) conferences want to come together and get a single media contract that would only include football.  They can get the rest of their sports individually per conference so they can keep that part more regional and not have to follow whatever schedule the schools make for FB.

Not one link, because I have been watching serval podcasts and tweeter posts over the past week.  It's ADs and coaches saying these ideas.  They mainly don't want FB in the same media contract and think other sports should be regional.  Also, they don't think anything will happen until the next round of media negotiations start in the 2030s.
