It's basic supply and demand.  There is only one Utah.  As soon as all conferences realize they are all out of Utah, they will run to the store to stock up on all the Utah they can find, like it's toilet paper in 2020.  All Utah has to do is be Utah and set it's price high.

I can't believe any of them are actually OK with it but need time to digest the possibilities and likelihood of hitting those incentives.

I can't imagine they would be. As others have said, streaming is great as an "extra" part of the deal. You have to be on TV or your exposure is extremely limited. Will the fans of the schools sign up and watch? probably, but you are going to lose out pretty much any casual viewer. Even if I had Apple tv, there is a good chance i'm not getting out of my current streaming platform or cable service to get on different app to watch their game. I'm flipping between the ESPN and Fox stations.

I saw that the subs tiers were rumored to be at 1mil 5mil 10mil etc. There's literally no way they're ever reaching 5 million subs, even if was cumulative over a 7 year deal. Big 12 wouldn't either, I'd wonder if any single college sports conference could.
