Does everyone realize how close we were to getting 2 teams into the playoff?  If FSU would have lost one of the crappy games throughout the year that they should have, they would have been bumped down.  No body liked them.

If OSU would have won a close one to Wisky, say 24-14, I think Baylor would have jumped in.  If, OSU would have lost, BOOM, both teams in......we are the premier conference and no body is complaining......

I cant help but be distracted by all the money we are losing out on.

6 mil?  The animal wipes his ass with 6 million dollar bills.  We make way more than that as a school each year by not dividing the $ 2 more ways.

Folks need to start recognizing that the Big 12 is making bank on having a strong 10-team league.  If there was any way to add more teams and keep the revenue-per-school near where it is now, they would do it.  The fact is, it is not really even close at the moment.

i don't think you guys know how famous jameis works. he has been in complete control of every game he's played in, working first half lines to make him and his bros tons of money, and winning the games when needed. he would've done the same in the big 12 this year and went undefeated.

I dunno, we act like the Big 12 is some instant-in league because we had 3 top ten teams going into championship weekend.  Remember 2012? 2011?  Hell, even last year.  The difference this year was that the chronically unchallenged SEC West teams got shook up and loosened their stranglehold on the top ten for the SEC.  A couple of different bounces and we could have had all three big 12 teams licking the outside of the top ten, looking in.   The sad fact is that even compared to a crappier ACC, the Big 12 isn't a huge leap up for those teams.  SEC/Pac 12 get the default nod and B10 money will push whoever the standard bearer is into a final four most years.  We're just the slightly better #4 in the pecking order.

I like BYU.  They fill a 63K seat stadium.  I would like them as a football-only member if needed in the future or maybe have the conference work a deal where they get several OOC games against Big 12 teams each year to help them with their scheduling.  No need to burn any bridges at this point.  For the record, I like the conference at 10 members for the time being.  But with another round of realignment in a few years coming up, we might need them on our side.

Rumor has is bowlsby got pak'd last night and called up the Memphis/BYU coaches. Told them the winner of the game gets a BIG12 invite, hence the reason the game was so "Chippy"
