It's pretty crazy how competitive Memphis has gotten in such a short amount of time.

I think they could compete in the Big 12 after a few years.  The recruiting base is there.  They may have been near bowl eligible this year.

An 8 game conference schedule would help ensure that.  I assume we'd go back to 8 if we expand.  Though, maybe our TV partners would make us stay at 9 in order to get a sympathy increase in the money.
