i don’t want any of them, we don’t need them. dead weight.
The PAC must die.
Quote from: pissclams on March 04, 2023, 10:27:13 PMi don’t want any of them, we don’t need them. dead weight.I want Arizona because they want us, they care about sports, and Tuscon is a way cooler city than Boulder.
they are located in a city with +1M residents and average 35k per game (that’s a generous estimate).they don’t fit
I admit that there is a part of me that wants to do this to the PAC, because they tried to do it to us...and it's been done to us by others. It's like I just want to take it all out on the PAC. Just sitting on the PAC's chest, sobbing, while we pummel its skull in well past its death. ESPN and Fox just pulling us finally pulling us off saying "ITS GONNA BE OK!"
my bad, based on those numbers they’re averaging 45k last seasoni still don’t think they offer us anything

However if we end up taking some schools, they've first on my list, Utah second because they offer the Holy War.

Something to be said for Big 12 being the clear next best option behind the Big 10 and SEC when the ACC GOR expires. And if we can get a killshot on a conference that could threaten K-State's position someday (like they threatened it in the wake of OU/UT leaving), I'd like to see it done.

K-State absolutely doesn't win with a contraction of what are the current power 5 schools. If contraction happens now, it's not going to stop. Money and power in the sport will continue to centralize until college football is working under the English Premier League model. You want K-State to win? We need to be expanding peers, not losing them.

In the long haul, the fewer comparable opponents we have for TV deals and access to the playoff the better.

in the end, EMAW will always win.

P5 programs getting dropped from major conferences?I think a conference has to die for a P5 program to get dropped. K-State is safe as long as the B12 is and the B12 is safer adding more P5 schools that the B10 and SEC don't want.
How does keeping the pac 12 alive and healthy benefit kstate in the 48 team “p2” paradigm?
Quote from: DQ12 on March 07, 2023, 07:31:59 AMHow does keeping the pac 12 alive and healthy benefit kstate in the 48 team “p2” paradigm? It doesn't start the precedence of excluding long term members of the club and disregarding entire regions of the country. Y'all keep focusing on Big 12 vs. Pac 12, I can't stop thinking about K-State's place in college athletics with increased inclusivity.

Or maybe I'm confused by what you mean by "the club." If we pluck 4 Pac schools, the Pac will survive in the same frankenstein way the Big 12 did after other conferences took half our league.
