mountains/skiing... or ...beach/beaching?

which would you prefer? both for living and for tripping. i would like to live on/near a beach and vacation on/near a beach. mountains are ok but jfc...i don't need to see them all that much.

Seems like in the mountains you would have to wear a coat and shoes more often.  I do not enjoy either :dunno:

Mountains are for sexy, active people.  Beaches are mostly full of lazy gluttons.  FWIW.

FWIW, I enjoy being gluttonous more than I enjoy being active :dunno:

so if you had to choose a vacation spot and a living spot... you would choose mountains for both? there are rules to this you know.

Temperature is def an issue.  Heat is uncomfortable and inescapable.  You can only undress so much.  Not true of coolness/layering up.  Plus, cool weather clothes can look way more stylish than any beachwear.

this is a stupid talking point of cold weather defending idiots.  Especially when there's a f*cking beach in the conversation.

It's only stupid because it is impenetrable.  :gocho:

For a second I was all "Hey it's really fun to drink up in the mountains with the altitude and all you're nice and buzzing around beer 2 or 3, score one for mountains"

Then I was thought, "wait, when you are out in the sun all day you're nice and buzzing around beer 2 or 3, score one for beaches."

Now I'm back at square one.

Hey everyone, lets all go down to the beach and watch uggos and bad smelling people wear speedos all day! If we are lucky maybe we can take a pound of sand and snails home in our crack!!
