i'm actually in evergreen colorado and i just got done w/ scuba and am getting ready to go eat some great seafood while i watch the sun set over the ocean.

pshaw.  i know people who river scuba (in mts).  the rest is just transport and optics.  plus i don't like seafood.

great points. i was lying about evergreen btw. i'm actually on the beach and a couple of girls in bikinis just came up to me and asked me to hang out. weird, but whatever. very warm though and i'm wearing shorts and no shoes just like the people in the mountains probably are.

I caught an 50 pound redfish in a little mountain stream one time.

Another time I was in a little lake tucked away in the Smokies and hooked a 75 pound Tarpon and then went to the bar along the water and watched chicks in bikini's on boats.

Live by the beach, visit the mountains.  Frequently.

There's nothing like waking up next to the ocean with the salt water breeze blowing the curtains and the surf breaking against the beach.

i agree. which is why i would live on a beach and vacation on a beach. mountain visits would be rare. very un-elite imo.

Temperature is def an issue.  Heat is uncomfortable and inescapable.  You can only undress so much.  Not true of coolness/layering up.  Plus, cool weather clothes can look way more stylish than any beachwear.

No matter how cool the clothes, they will never look more stylish than tan ChiCat in a speedo.

the heat isn't always unbearable in tropical places.  hotter is better on a beach too, doesn't matter if you sweat.  lol @ sweaty people.  cold weather also makes it easier to get sick, like colds and crap, also the altitude doesn't help either.

its like cabin in the mountains with your pet wolf, or hut by the beach, dollar beers, 50 cents during happy hour

Seems like beach has better food.  Closer to fresh produce than way up in the hills where everything has to be trucked in and gets all freezer-burny.
