I had no idea that koolaid was a black stereotype. MIR, can you give us a list of other black stereotypes we might not be aware of so as to avoid these awkward misunderstandings?

Update: for what it's worth, it sounds like he asked the question because Harris mentioned that her cobbler is a traditional summer recipe, but she serves it at Thanksgiving. Still a weird/dumb question, but consider the context of the show. Not seeing anything overtly or implicitly racist here, but my racedar is not nearly as well tuned as MIR's.

LOL, yeah I made it up. I secretly write for raw story, huffington post, mediaite, prnewser, media matters for america, etc. I'm not sure why lying about what stereotypes you supposedly know and don't know and attacking me for providing a link is a sufficient defense here?

No it really seems like he wasn't stereotyping. He's a dumbass morning show host who, like all dumbass morning show hosts, specializes in stupid innocuous blather. That's the whole show.

So when it was mentioned that Faulkner serves this traditional summer dish for Thanksgiving, he asked if she also served another summertime staple at Thanksgiving - KoolAid. He even said "makes me think of summer."

So if he's guilty of anything, it appears to be that he should have known that koolaid is some obscure black stereotype (I still think this is bizarre) and not knowing that you just shouldn't say that to a black person lest you look like you're stereotyping.

This reminds of that idiotic eenie meenie money mo crap on Southwest a few years ago. That stewardess wasn't being racist and neither was this guy. You guys are embarrassing.
