Brazil nuts is a racist term or is the actual thing racist?

with only 1 vote I can't help but think it's had an effect in the poll. they are delicious. CNS - not a nut
NomenclatureBrazil nut seeds in shellDepiction of the Brazil nut in Scientific American Supplement, No. 598, June 18, 1887Despite their name, the most significant exporter of Brazil nuts is not Brazil but Bolivia, where they are called almendras. In Brazil, these nuts are called castanhas-do-pará (literally "chestnuts from Pará"), but Acreans call them castanhas-do-acre instead. Indigenous names include juvia in the Orinoco area.Though it is commonly called the Brazil nut, in botanical terms it is the seed from the fruit of this tree; a nut is a hard-shelled indehiscent fruit.

I'm sure it was unintentional (or at least I hope), but this week's snackoff really took a dark turn the last two pages.

I'm not getting involved in another snackoff until daris takes the reigns again.

It's "reins", but I'm not surprised by your similarities with fanning. 2. Just a heads up, Daris "taking the reins" of a snack thread means he takes me out to dinner and I tell him a few snack-off smackoff ideas and then he uses one of those and forgets the rest until the next time he takes me out to dinner to discuss the next snack-off smackoff thread.
To be fair, I eat almonds the most. But cashews are by far the most delicious. LOL at pistachios. "Let me just crack this cement shell open with my teeth for this teeny tiny nut inside." They're a poor man's sunflower seed.
