Just started 4th season of Friday Night Lights. Everyone had told me about the Leech cameo, but man, it was so amazing. Telling Coach Taylor he needs to find his inner-pirate. He's so amazing. I'm glad he took that job in the PAC-12 so it will be easy for him come in and coach K-State in a couple years.

OT: When he coaches here, do you think we can go ahead and change our mascot to the pirates?

agreed.
honestly, i see myself quickly growing tired of the non-stop barrage of absolutely perfect one liners and non-sequiturs. it's like the writers are trying to prove how great they are, and are over doing it to some extent.

compare this show's approach to this style of writing, to curb your enthusiasm. not fair to veep, but that's the road they're trying to go down and so far they haven't been that successful (minus the pilot which i thought was great).

finally watched T.C.A. from last sunday. after reading this thread, i expected to see magic looking a little off camera, as if he was reading a cue card. i didn't expect him to physically turn to his right 90° and talk to a camera that doesn't exist.

Very. It has to be the most overhyped show of all time. Does anything ever happen? No. Does HBO make them cuss a lot for no reason and develop hot girls to be main characters just so they can show them naked and pretend it makes sense? Yes. It's a stupid show but it does so well because it makes dumb people feel smart for watching and understanding it.
