I think it took me 4 failed attempts to get into The Wire before it stuck. Problem being that I almost always am multitasking with the TV on, and the show takes about 3 or 4 episodes of slow-burn world building before you can get into it. You actually have to pay attention.

Was just coming here to post about The Boys. I thought the first 2 seasons left more to be desired, and had given up on it until last week. Season 3 is really great, now that it's clearly social commentary. I'd be down to have less of the Russian dude and homegirl's storyline.

i probably watched The Walking Dead for 3 seasons after it had gotten really stupid because of Jeffrey Dean Morgan, so i’m probably locked into The Boys for at least another 3 seasons now.

I think "to" makes more sense, but I'd certainly understand the meaning of "of," too.

Binging Curb has been really wild to see the main characters go from kind of old to haggard by season 10.

I'm incredibly sad that curb is over.  Seinfeld was my favorite show in high school and curb has been since it started.  Huge chunk of my life laughing at Larry David's humor.

I'm also sad. Rarely do you see a show go 11 (12?) seasons and stay consistently excellent. My man Larry always delivers. I hope he has something else up his sleeve for us to enjoy, but he's getting up there, so maybe he just wants to rest on his laurels.

Curb has a rewatch podcast with Jeff and Suzie, good way to have a reason to watch the old episodes. They're currently on season 2

Lol. I don't know if haggard is the right word, but they did age 24 years during the run. Also, Curb is a fantastic rewatch.

Wrexham season 3 was good. Not great. And not even close to season 1. Season 1 set the bar very high and the last 2 seasons have been just decent.

I think I’ve said this before here, but I’ve gotten 5-6 episodes into The Wire & I just can’t keep going. It’s like a TBS knock off of what everyone claims it’s supposed to be.

I also did my future self if favor by not watching GOT until a few months before the final season started, so that was a good few months of catching up right into the end.

It feels like a lot of below-average actors acting out writing that’s trying too hard to be edgy. All the cops are just so dull. The whole thing with the idiot cop hitting the guy with his gun was terrible.  The whole “hardened cops that drink a lot” is cliche. If was just the drug dealers side without the cops it would have been a lot better. It was trying to be prestige TV but had worse production value than a 90s Sunday night CBS filler drama, like Touched By Angel.
