Restarted Righteous Gemstones Sunday. Started Season 2 last night. The show is even better on the second watch-through.

the netflix docuseries that just dropped on the Tour de France has me firmly gripped. Like I don't give a flying eff about the Jumbo-Visma team but the cinematography is amazing and if they want to make one of these every year I would be overjoyed.

I think the batting average of season 3 is higher than season 2, but the hits on season 2 are absolutely incredible.

Question for the group: I tried the first two episodes and since Danny McBride is just playing Kenny Powers, I just wanted to watch Eastbound and Down instead. Does that feeling ever go away?

Judy is the star, but Jesse is much more tolerable than Kenny. I couldn't continue past S1 of eastbound, it's just too much. Same for vice principals.

I'll echo the Judy sentiments. Yes, Jesse and Kenny are similar characters. While I think Eastbound is ultimately better than Gemstones, I think Gemstones stands on its own and the ensemble cast, along with some amazing cameos, make Gemstones worth the watch and unique enough to make it worth your time. Eastbound is all Danny McBride, Gemstones is far from that.
