For all the Haters hating on Yellowstone being all like “hughhhhhh none of these characters are likable hughhhhhh” yeah dummy that’s kind of the point. You’re supposed to be grappling with the juxtaposition of wanting a certain outcome but wanting it for characters that you don’t particularly like. Let me know if you need help figuring out how to wipe the corners of your mouth
You are obviously very passionate about this. I have no idea what criticisms of Yellowstone you are referring to, but that juxtaposition is a super common theme of most dramatic television these days. I suspect it’s just a matter of taste in themes. I don’t like cowboy culture, so I don’t watch Yellowstone. I don’t like biker culture, so I don’t watch Sons. I don’t like cop culture so I don’t watch the eleventy bagillion shows about cops and robbers. No judgement…I like shows with swords and lasers and all kinds of stupid crap, so obviously my tastes are out there in left field.
Everybody's got a special kind of story. Everybody finds a way to shine, It don't matter that you got not alot. So what, They'll have theirs, and you'll have yours, and I'll have mine. And together we'll be fine. Because it takes, Different Strokes to move the world. Yes it does. It takes, Diff'rent Strokes to move the world.
Pete I was kinda joking, it’s sort of a bit I like to do every once in a while on this blog…just skip the measured response and go straight to frothing at the mouth for no apparent reason.
That being said, I really do sincerely enjoy the show. Maybe because up until now I haven’t watched a lot of westerns so the format is still relatively new to me, in so much as any format can really be new I mean let’s be real Star Wars is just The Holy Bible fanfic with lasers when you really get right down to brass tacks. Every story has already been told and every song has already been written, I guess is what I’m getting at
