Started and finished The White Lotus yesterday and it was awesome. I loved how the writers set up the premise in the very first scene then built the entire series around answering that single question. They did an equally great job stringing the viewer along with the answer to the question, there were several possibilities throughout and it was never apparent until the very end.

Armond is one of my favorite characters in a while.

And they casted her with Alexandra Daddario and Jennifer Coolidge. Gotta wonder what the casting director and the producers had in mind with that. The scene where they had Rachel walking in front of Olivia with the horribly fitting bikini top was gratuitous.

I completely forgot that I watched the first season of industry which has me questioning whether or not I should be bothered with the second season.

yeah I kind of liked the first season, i realized it was dumb in exactly the way that finance bros/insane climbers are dumb. I also came around on the hilariously bad trades that the show featured. I came to believe this was done by the writers to specifically piss off anyone that liked the show and was in finance. But I haven't watched second season at all.

I watched the first couple episodes and didn't get grabbed. I never read the books but enjoyed the Lord of the Rings film series. I have yet to see anything that suggests Amazon really spent $1 billion on it.

Yeah, it's slow so far, but the end of the 2nd episode I think started to pick up. I'm fine if the rest of series ends of being baller if it takes a bit to get there.

I did enjoy the entire scenes in Khazad-dum/Durin.

You are obviously very passionate about this. I have no idea what criticisms of Yellowstone you are referring to, but that juxtaposition is a super common theme of most dramatic television these days.  I suspect it’s just a matter of taste in themes. I don’t like cowboy culture, so I don’t watch Yellowstone. I don’t like biker culture, so I don’t watch Sons. I don’t like cop culture so I don’t watch the eleventy bagillion shows about cops and robbers. No judgement…I like shows with swords and lasers and all kinds of stupid crap, so obviously my tastes are out there in left field.

Everybody's got a special kind of story. Everybody finds a way to shine, It don't matter that you got not alot. So what, They'll have theirs, and you'll have yours, and I'll have mine. I got a month of paramount to watch Yellowstone and apparently paramount doesn't even have the rights to Yellowstone and I'm definitely not going to get peacock so if they want me to watch the cowboy show they should figure their crap out
