If Deadwood is too talky and not shooty enough for you well you suck but also try Rome (hbomax)

Watched Rome and Silicon Valley. Loved Silicon Valley. Rome was decent. I may have enjoyed it a little bit more than Deadwood.

what happened to Barry, did it get the rona and die off?

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Spoiler Alert: I just finished Downton Abbey Ep 3.9 where they killed off Matthew Crawley and I'm not very happy about it. I've been cheering for that guy for three seasons and this was shaping up to be my favorite ep ever. Just when it looks like things were going to be going in a great direction for him and Lady Mary they killed him.

my wife tried to console me by saying things like "It's a drama, these sorts of things happen to characters in dramas." Too soon.

Watching the series has got me interested in learning more about the history of the conflict between the Irish and the English, the potato famine, etc.

I have HBOmax. I've only had HBO for a couple years which is why I'm diving into shows like "The Night Of."

Already seen both seasons of Succession and it was good. I haven't watched The Sopranos, but I'll be starting it soon. I'll reluctantly admit that I'm almost finished with the first season of Deadwood and I'm not completely hooked.

I'm curious what you don't like about it.

Sopranos!  I would re-watch Sopranos with you!

Started. Love them ducks!

I just finished Sons of Anarchy last night.  It was pretty ridiculous at times and was full of cliches and bad TV tropes but overall it was entertaining enough to keep my balls somewhat gripped.

Yeah, I agree.  I am almost done with the first season.  It's pretty LOL ridiculous at times, but fun.  I decided to give it a shot after enjoying KK's posted about outlaw motor cycle gangs...

I read like a 50 slide PowerPoint uploaded by the LA county sheriff dept or something that had several hilarious typos/misspelled words and also recounted the Laughlin shootout. It was great.

https://lp.post.ca.gov/post/resources/resources/LASD/Outlaw-Motorcycle-Gangs-LES-FOUO.pdf

Was a great primer for being able to watch Sons like a pro.

How many episodes of the Sopranos does one have to watch before they know whether it’s going to grip them?

@KatKid is rewatching with us

I'm not hooked either. It's still entertaining enough, so far.

Ziwe is very weird and smart and funny

Just started this and I love it.

Flatbush Misdemeanors is okay, a bit too dry for me though.

I think it’s in the works. Rona delayed though. There was some interview I heard where Hader said he had a couple more seasons written
:adios:

Just finished season 2 of City on a Hill.   No idea what series to start now.

It's so good, right?

Watch The Chi, you'll like it, I promise.

If you liked the Bostonian aspect of city on the hill, try SMILF, 30 minute dramedy, very Boston, only two seasons.

Black Monday is good.

On Becoming A God in Central Florida is a bit weird but very engaging.

If you didn't catch Escape at Dannemora, is very good and a small time commitment.

The Loudest Voice was awesome

The Trade is unreal, again only two seasons, a very easy watch

We Hunt Together finished its first season back in the winter and it's very very good. It's a police/crime drama like City on the Hill but takes place in England and is focused on the criminals instead of the law.
