Washington is going to be in this bidding war with Texas and Alabama. Gonna be $10Mil by the time they're done.

doubt Saban goes back to the league but who knows
he may give it another shot in the league, but it won't be with washington.  he and dan snyder together would be an absolute trainwreck together...and I'm sure they both know it.

Yeah he's only going back to the NFL only if he has complete control.

I'd imagine we'll be seeing some Alabama fans on Dr. Phil if Saban leaves for Texas.

At the Alamo Bowl press conference, longtime UT benefactor Red McCombs scoffed at the idea that Texas wouldn't be able to get Saban.
“Oh, I don’t think there’s any question about getting him,” McCombs said. “When Mack came there, our budgets were an issue. They’re not an issue now.
“Hell, all the money that’s not in the Vatican is up at UT. If that’s a problem, then I’m a part of the problem.”

Guys, LHC Bill Snyder may have home games against both Gus Malzahn and Nick Saban next year.

if Saban left 'bama for texas, i would legitimately fear for any texas fans living in AL, given that you can be killed simply for not being upset enough when 'bama loses.

I'd imagine that aTm fans would be conflicted.  No more Saban in their division, yet Saban stealing recruits as a WHORN!

There probably wouldn't be many bama fans left. Most of them would toss their red for orange because winning is all they know and they are not willing to be the little bro to auburn

Life is pretty great for Auburn fans right now I bet.

Who would Alabama have to get to come out ahead here?  Urban?

Gruden might suffice

Only one clear choice here and that's Mangino

The bama scout board is a mess, no game thread just a ton of "HENRY OMG!" "WE NEED A NEW SCHEME" type posts with 3-4 replies.

Quote
Hate to say it, but I think Saban's defense has been passed up.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These hurry up teams with mobile qbs absolutely ravage Saban's defense. Can Saban reinvent himself at this stage of his career? Defense needs a major major overhaul this offseason. He also needs better coaching on offense than he got from cristobal and Nuss this year.

I wonder if this guys Dad thought recruiting players of color was a fad?

Quote
Saban's defenses rely on a lot of pre-snap checks. The hurry up doesn't allow that. Instead of complaining about the HUNHO in the offseason, Coach has to scheme to stop it. I have faith in him and believe he's the best coach in America. Coach Bryant made adjustments when the game changed and put Bama back in the driver's seat. I suspect CNS will do the same with his defense. If he doesn't, we will see many more losses over the next few years. We have to adapt until this fad passes. And PLEASE let this just be a fad and not the new normal.

Starting to sound like NUB fans.

Quote
miss the days of smash mouth football.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Using the fullback more than twice a season.  Miss running powers and counters with down blocks, double teams, and pullers.  We are not a smash mouth team anymore.  This is the key to Sabans success on defense imo.  Lots to bitch about tonight.  Our defense has been carved up this year by several teams.  FSU would have scored many many points

Yup....
Quote
Truth is the schedule hid the reality of this team...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

...VaTech wasn't good. Tennessee is awful. If aTm had half a defense that would have been a 49-21 loss.  LSU was average for LSU.  Miss St and Ole Miss are just meh.

I don't want to hear the "They weren't motivated" line, they looked motivated just fine.

Losing Barrett Jones, Fluker, Warmack, Lacy and Miliner made far more difference than the schedule allowed.

WHY DONT YOU JUST GO TO TX SABAN?!?

Quote
This is on Saban, plain and simple.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Coach Saban knows this team has a tendency to play down when they are not motivated. This team looks unprepared for this game.

Coach Saban is paid over 7 million to win.

Too much AJ and too little real Bama ball.

What is wrong with Coach?

Quote
Re: This is on Saban, plain and simple.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At least the last 6 qrts. he's been out coached badly, not even close, he's been embarrassed by gus and stoops.

BAN HAMMER COMING DONW!

They hate the no-huddle until they want to run it.  Then it is great coaching.  What losers
