The bama scout board is a mess, no game thread just a ton of "HENRY OMG!" "WE NEED A NEW SCHEME" type posts with 3-4 replies.

Hate to say it, but I think Saban's defense has been passed up.

These hurry up teams with mobile qbs absolutely ravage Saban's defense. Can Saban reinvent himself at this stage of his career? Defense needs a major major overhaul this offseason. He also needs better coaching on offense than he got from cristobal and Nuss this year.

I wonder if this guys Dad thought recruiting players of color was a fad?

Saban's defenses rely on a lot of pre-snap checks. The hurry up doesn't allow that. Instead of complaining about the HUNHO in the offseason, Coach has to scheme to stop it. I have faith in him and believe he's the best coach in America. Coach Bryant made adjustments when the game changed and put Bama back in the driver's seat. I suspect CNS will do the same with his defense. If he doesn't, we will see many more losses over the next few years. We have to adapt until this fad passes. And PLEASE let this just be a fad and not the new normal.

Using the fullback more than twice a season.  Miss running powers and counters with down blocks, double teams, and pullers.  We are not a smash mouth team anymore.  This is the key to Sabans success on defense imo.  Lots to bitch about tonight.  Our defense has been carved up this year by several teams.  FSU would have scored many many points

...VaTech wasn't good. Tennessee is awful. If aTm had half a defense that would have been a 49-21 loss.  LSU was average for LSU.  Miss St and Ole Miss are just meh.

I don't want to hear the "They weren't motivated" line, they looked motivated just fine.


Losing Barrett Jones, Fluker, Warmack, Lacy and Miliner made far more difference than the schedule allowed.

WHY DONT YOU JUST GO TO TX SABAN?!?
